Fitted as per previous unit. No problems.
Initial investigation would have been easier if dip switches were visible upon removing the cowling.

easy to handle, simple, large buttons etc. perfect usability.
4.5 starts - half a star lost only because the design is rather old fashioned.

The little remote does what it's supposed to do. 5*
More importantly - we have a Fantasia ceiling fan that is probably 16 years old, started to go wrong and were concerned that we required a new fan. One short phone call to the company gave us a basic check to perform and yes - just the control needed replacing.
The fan is a fantastic product (great design that is still right up to date). And the company is great to dealo with.

Arrived very quickly and works, the holder is a bonus as we never received one when we purchased the original unit

I cut a small rectangle in the ceiling to hide the unit. Wiring was easy. Control works great. (Don't panic if it does start as the manual switch may be off).

The remote control arrived very quickly complete with instructions. It was easy to fit and works perfectly.
It could do with 2 footnotes:
1. It will not fit in a "Petite" housing (too small) - and yes I know it's discontinued. I bet it won't fit in any other fans that size either! So going up into the loft was fun - not..!
2. Advise installers to check switching codes don't clash if they have a remote already fitted elsewhere in the house
