Single wall controls operate the 3 speeds of the fan and require only twin and earth wiring. Double wall controls have a 3-speed control for the fan plus a dimmer for the light and require 3 core and earth wiring. Fan motors can not be wired into a standard dimmer. Wall control boxes are 25mm deep. Many fans are operated by pull cords as standard. Those without pull cords are supplied complete with either a wall or remote control as specified.
