I now have 5 of these fans in my house. I've been using them for several years and customer support has been fantastic with issues.

As with a previous post it is big, I only got the 44 inch. Having said that it’s a great quiet fan with a bright light. My bedroom is 18.5 feet long so it’s a big room to light.

Excellent quality fan, fidley to mount to the ceiling due to the blades being fitted, but once fitted very stable. Our fan came with a remote control and a receiver unit to be mounted inside the housing, the original instructions were for a transmitter receiver that both have dip switches, but our receiver
had no dip switches the additional instructions for this latest model, are a little vague. After half an hour of trying to sync the remote transmitter,to the
receiver,I gave up and removed the fan placed it on a table and powered it up,trying a selection os settings of the remote control dip switches, eventually the LED flashed 3 times and the fan responded. Then remounted the fan to the ceiling and all is fine looks good and performs well.

I love the fan. Its bigger than I expected but works very well. The light is like a football stadium, which is great. I have subdued lighting normally but if I need a central light boy I have got one.

Quiet on low speed. Heavy to install, flush fitted so had to shorten wires so it could fit to ceiling. Instructions for sincing remote not clear had to go online for tips, after playing about a bit it burst into life and working ok. I wish I had checked blades for balance before putting up as you have to take apart to alter blades. Would buy again.

This product seems well made and operates reasonably quietly – making it siutable for bedroom use.
The fan functions on the remote control handset are labelled in English and are intuitive.
There is only one button on the remote handset for operation of the lamp. This covers on, off and dimming. To turn the light on or off you press and release the lamp button. To control dimming you have to press and hold the lamp button. You have no control over whether pressing the button initiates a reduction or increase in light level. You have to hold the button whilst the lamp cycles through the dimming sequence and release it as the desired light level is achieved.
If the fan replaces an existing light fitting such that its power is controlled by a standard wall switch: then if the switch is turned off and – at a later time - back on again the lamp and fan controls 'remember' the setting that was selected when the power was previously on. This is useful during seasons when the lamp only is to be used as the wall switch can then be operated without the remote control. However my preference from a safety point of view would be for the fan motor to default to 'off' upon restoration of power.
DIY installation is not for the faint hearted – particularly if the flush mount option is to be used. This is where what I would consider to be a number of design flaws become highlighted:
You have to install the blades to the rotor hub before installing the whole assembly onto the ceiling bracket. This means that a heavy unit has to be manoeuvred into place with the blades installed risking damage and/or injury. If for any reason any blades need to be detached (to swap for balancing purposes as an example), then the whole unit needs to be electrically disconnected and removed from the ceiling bracket and dissasembled.
The instructions suggest the use of a hook to suspend the assembly below the ceiling bracket whilst connecting the wiring during flush mount installation. I fashioned one from a wire coat hanger, The inclusion of a hook and chain which could have been left in place for maintenance purposes would have been beneficial.
The electrical connections available in the ceiling bracket do not accommodate the 'loop in' system used in UK lighting wiring circuits. With the remote control receiver installed within the ceiling canopy I found it impossible to accommodate all the necessary connections for 'loop in'. After much struggling I only succeeded in securing the fan after I had accommodated the switch and loop connections within a junction box in the loft above. I also had to shorten the 4 wires connectin the fan/lamp unit to the ceiling bracket. Installation and maintenance could be made easier if the connections between the fan/lamp unit and bracket were by means of a plug and socket.
Pros: Quiet, effective, well made, remembers lamp setting when power turned off.
Cons: Appallingly designed for installation and maintenance purposes -particularly for flush mounting.
No terminals for loop in wiring.
Could do with up/down buttons on handset for lamp dimming.

Very pleased with the Neptune fan, seems well made and looks stylish and modern. One minor gripe our installer says the fitting screws could be a bit longer and a metal ‘S’ hook would have been handy to hold the blade housing whilst carrying out the wiring whilst fitting flush to the ceiling.
